Autel EVO II Review

The Autel EVO II is a consumer drone with a modular camera system, allowing you to start with one camera and upgrade later.

The EVO II Pro or the normal EVO II configuration will be preferred by the majority of consumers.

The regular model is the first consumer-grade drone to record in 8K, while the Pro model records in 6K on a larger 1TB hard drive “-type sensor with a resolution of 20 megapixels.
Because the drone is bright orange, it stands out in the sky more than other types.

The EVO II has a relatively long flight time, with the ability to stay in the air for up to 40 minutes and speeds of up to 72.4 kph (45 mph).

It has 12 computer vision sensors on the front, back, top, bottom, and sides to avoid obstacles in all directions, albeit there are blind spots when flying diagonally.
The lack of geofencing would be appreciated by some users.

A 1/2 inch sensor is standard on the EVO II camera “The sensor is a CMOS 48MP Quad Bayer sensor that records JPEG and Raw photos at up to 48MP resolution.
It sports a 26mm equivalent fixed-aperture F1.8 lens with a 79o FOV and 8x digital zoom, with a 4x lossless zoom stated.

In 8K, 10-bit is available, allowing you to punch in while maintaining detail.
With the H.265 codec, the camera on the EVO II Pro can capture 6K/30p, 4K/60p, and 1080/120p video at 120 Mbps.

The EVO II’s remote is identical to the original EVO’s, but it could be more ergonomic.
The drone comes with a built-in 3.3-inch OLED screen, and you can fly it with just the remote control.

Autel, on the other hand, suggests that customers attach their smartphone to the top of the remote and utilise the Autel Explorer app.

The drone has a maximum range of 9 kilometres (5.5 miles).
Onboard, there are eight Intelligent Flight Modes, including Dynamic Track, which claims to track cars, boats, and animals.
While the drone is flying independently, you can also change the altitude.

For professional remote pilots, the Autel EVO II series is a solid choice.
The complex interface, which provides a variety of settings, may overwhelm customers.
All of the alterations that may be made to the camera will appeal to photographers and videographers.

Those seeking privacy will welcome the fact that the drone may be used without logging in or creating an account.
Others will like the lack of geofencing, especially if they’ve had trouble unlocking the safety feature in the past.
